FAQ

FAQ

Why is your race fee lower than other color runs?
We're keeping the race accessible for all ages. By keeping some of the "extras" optional, we're keeping our event fees lower. "Extras" include sunglasses, extra color, etc.

What's the inclement weather policy?
Safety is our number one priority. Although we recognize the hard work and commitment that goes into preparing for an event such as the Color the Curve Run, safety will always come first. If weather conditions present a threat, the Color the Curve Run, race officials and/or government officials reserve the right to postpone or cancel the event or alter the course or course(s). Unfortunately, registration fees cannot be refunded if unsafe weather cancels the race. In absence of unsafe weather conditions, the Color the Curve Run will be held rain or shine. The average temperatures range from a low of 64 degrees to a high of 83 degrees.

When is the last day to register to guarantee a t-shirt?
Last day to register and guarantee a shirt will be 10 days before event.
When is the last day to register?
Last day to register will be raceday if not sold out, but price will be higher.
Do I need to be a competitive runner to participate?
No. Color the Curve is a unique experience that is more about having fun with friends and family rather than outrunning your competitors. It’s also about helping out a great cause.
Do I need to part of a team to sign up?
No. You can run on your own or as part of a team. Teams consist of four or more participating together. You can create a cool custom team name and outfits. Running as a team helps you motivate each other and achieve your most colorful possibilities. Team members can finish together or individually.
Can I run with my dog?
NO DOGS on the race course.
Are strollers allowed?
Strollers are allowed for either the 5K or 1 mile event.
Is there an age limit?
No age limits. We’ve created a one-mile fun run to allow everyone to participate. Children under 3 race free with a registered adult!
What is included with registration?
Registrants will receive a t-shirt and a color packet for the color celebration at the end of the race. Sunglasses and extra color will be available race day for purchase.
How do I pick up my race packet for the event?
TBA
Is the white dress code a must?
White clothes aren’t required, but it’s more fun to start the race in white and end colorful. As long as you are wearing a mostly white shirt, you’ll be fine. Shorts/pants don’t need to be white.
Does it hurt when you are hit by color?
Not at all. It’s a powder.
Will the color ruin clothes or running shoes?
The color mostly washes out after the event. The sooner you wash your items, the better. We recommend wearing items you don’t mind getting colorful. Color can be preserved on your running shirt by soaking it in vinegar and ironing it before you wash it. You may wear glasses to cover your eyes and a hat or bandana to cover your hair.
How does the color affect the inside of my car?
We recommend bringing a towel or blanket to cover your seats just in case. Bring a bag to throw your color clothes in for the ride home.
Can spectators attend the post-race color celebration?
Absolutely! We will have color packets available for everyone to purchase. At the finish line, the crowd will throw their color packets to welcome runners. Color throws will take place every 15 -20 minutes. It will be a rainbow extravaganza!
What is the best way to photograph the race?
We’ll have photographers taking pictures throughout the race and at the finish line. If you want to take your own pictures, we recommend keeping your phone and/or camera in a Ziploc bag to keep it safe.
Is Color the Curve timed?
This is not a timed event. You’ll want to take your time and enjoy!
Are there refunds?
Unfortunately, we will be unable to offer refunds.
